Important CAP Update – CAP Application Freeze

We are currently undergoing an internal review and redesign of the Community Assistance Program (CAP) to improve how we process applications and deliver support across Canada. As part of this transition, we are temporarily pausing new CAP applications.

Please note that all applications submitted on or before May 1st, 2025, will be considered and vetted as planned.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work behind the scenes to launch a more efficient, accessible, and equitable system.

CAP will reopen once the new system is in place.
Thank you for your continued support.

What is our Community Assistance Program?

The Community Assistance Program (CAP) is a service provider-led initiative designed to support autistic individuals, their families, and caregivers by providing financial aid. CAP funding helps subsidize the cost of psychological assessments, physical and mental health therapies, and interventions not covered by provincial health plans. It also assists with the cost of respite care for autistic individuals and their families to help ease the growing demand on the mental healthcare system.
